The Stensborg Approach: Two Decades of Innovation

Here at Stensborg, we are very proud of our innovative approach to the world of nanoimprint lithography. For over two decades, our dedicated team has been diligently working from our base in Denmark, providing our customers with optical designs and nano imprint tools, as well as volume production services.

Our History

Since our launch in 1998, we have been on a mission to develop and produce cutting-edge nanoimprint lithography solutions for customers around the world.

In 1999, we launched our patented HoloPrint® process, which since then has grown to become our signature mechanism.

In 2005, we helped with the first machine integration in Denmark, while 2010 saw us complete the first Roll-to-Roll (R2R) machine installation in Germany. This was followed up with the first Roll-to-Plate machine installation in Austria, shortly followed by a R2R installation in Austria.

As we grew, we also moved into a fully-equipped facility that gave us even more space, allowing us to have our cleanroom facilities, production, and chemistry development all under one roof. This space provides us with the opportunity to further develop innovative solutions, such as our desktop apparatus and our roll-to-roll equipment.

Most recently, 2019 saw the global launch of our latest product, the HoloPrint® uniA6 DT, but we’re not stopping there, and we’re continuously working on developing our services even further!

HoloPrint® uniA6 DT

We developed this portable and affordable solution for our customers due to growing demand, giving them the perfect easy-to-use product for small-scale nanoimprint lithography work. Ideal for prototyping, testing and characterising materials and processes. The HoloPrint® uniA6 DT offers a range of applications, for example, DOE: Diffractive Optical Elements, HOE: Holographic Optical Elements, hydrophobic topologies, lab-on-chip, etching masks and many other applications.

Consumables

We also offer a wide range of consumables for Nanoimprint lithography, some being our master template UV resins permitting direct fabrication of imprinting templates. Compatible with our HoloPrint® uniA6 DT machine, our consumables are available alongside other production imprinting machines in an array of light-curing resin varieties.

Volume production

Here at Stensborg, we also offer industrial production of nano and micro-topology surfaces. Our team can provide a range of optical devices, and we specialise in high-capacity productions using Roll-to-Roll and Roll-to-Plate manufacturing.

Custom-made services

We know that no two businesses are the same, which is why we will work with our partners to create a tailored solution that meets specific needs. We specialise in topology production and structured surfaces, and our optimised light-curing resins replicate topologies from 10mm to several 100 micrometres.

The technology we use

To ensure our customers can enjoy the very best service possible, we integrate a host of innovative technologies. This includes Roll-to-Roll, for volume fabrication on flexible materials such as paper, metal, polymers, and recently glass.

We also utilise Roll-to-Plate (R2P) nanoimprint lithography, which consists of a roller mechanism and a rigid surface plate. This is also a great option for experimenting and testing new nanoimprinting topologies before entering mass production (R2P can also be used for volume production when base materials are rigid).
