Our HoloPrint® uniA6 DT is affordable, portable and easy to use.

This HoloPrint® desktop unit is suitable for small-scale nanoimprint lithography work. This device is ideal for fast prototyping, testing, and characterisation of the property of a structure, which includes work with photo-curable resins and imprinting materials. 

The typical applications range from imprinting, lab-on-chip to diffractive optical elements, and other nano-imprinted structures. The HoloPrint® uniA6 DT works within its protected environment.

A Better Solution To Nanoimprint Lithography

Developed by Stensborg’s on-site engineers, the HoloPrint® uniA6 DT is a small and cost-competitive roll-to-plate imprinter compared to traditional nanoimprint tools which still dominate the industry today. This smart technology is the first of its kind; A nanoimprint lithography desktop and roll-to-plate (R2P) device.

Our roll-to-plate NIL process uses a patented nip imprint process as well as an adjustable imprinting force to minimise material shrinkage while reducing air bubble issues. This nip imprinting process lessens the demand on substrate conformity, providing reduced costs and a higher yield.

Stensborg engineers designed this NIL Desktop with cost-savings in mind, whilst aiming to build a machine with a high-quality output; Quality is not compromised in high volume usage by carrying out regular performance reviews of up to 60 plates/wafers per hour.

The uniA6 DT Enables An Accelerated Process Cycle

The HoloPrint® uniA6 DT allows fast iterations of the development cycle by testing new designs quickly; therefore, it is the perfect device for prototyping.


This device enables the user to experiment and test many imprinting techniques; light-curable resins and processing parameters such as pressure, speed, and light intensity. These examinations are useful for scaling ahead of mass production—the ability to construct prototypes in-house will save time and resource. The HoloPrint® uniA6 DT also permits the development of imprint templates from easy-to-use DIY consumables.

​A Unique Optical Engine Design Enables A More Modest Device

The imprinter includes Stensborg’s patented optical engine which provides for long life (395nm) light-emitting diodes (LED) with passive cooling, as well as an optional built-in water cooling feature for extreme exposure demands.


We utilise light-emitting diodes in our Optical Engine for production of higher volumes. This replaced gas discharge tube light engines. The Optical Engine is an essential part of the HoloPrint® uniA6 DT, as it provides the highly focused photonic energy needed to create a fast chemical reaction in our light-curable resins, changing the polymer state from elastic to plastic.
